If you look at my other posts tou'll see I was going to start A+. I was offered a set of course materials by member, Hubby, which I sent him a cheque for £90.

He took my money & never sent anything.

Just a reminder to never trust anyone that just says something online.

& Please note, I'm not blaming CertForums for my actions.

PS... I did start A+ with Scheidegger in 2004 but had to get a refund minus my £50 deposit because the course was not as advertised.

I don't think my destiny lies in computing.

Thanks for taking the time to read this & I hope you never make the mistake I did about sending £900 to a total stranger (& the Scheidegger one was jsut as bad)

Buy the Mike myers All In One A+ study book. About £30 from Amazon.

Bad luck im afraid, id only trust certain people on this forum. No names of course. But to send my money to someone that just said ill help would have been something i would have questioned.

fair enough you cant really build up trust online as you never really know who you're speaking to, but i've been part of this forum long enough to know certain people and i believe i can trust them in certain respects.

so as has been said before, just make sure you "think" you can trust them, before handing over money...

    just my 2 pence....

    Hi Lee,

We (myself on behalf of CertForums) acted in good faith previously by letting your posts about contacting Hubby stay public. We felt that the issue was resolved in terms of the replies to your previous posts, and took those replies in good faith. Clearly the issue was never resolved, but unfortunately we have no recourse to pursue this further on your behalf.

Sadly, this must come down to a case of caveat emptor, but if it is of any re-assurance, the member who offered to sell you second hand course material has now been banned from CertForums.

Stavros2012 - as far as the Staff of CertForums are concerned, this matter has now been brought to a close. If you have any continuing issues, please PM me directly. Any repeat posts on the same issue will be removed on sight.
