pentium 4 temperatures

    my p4 3.0ghz prescott reaches 72-74 degrees when under load
    according to motherboard monitor 5
    i have a Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu cooler
    what is the average temp for these cpu's
    my mobo is a p4p800s-x
    could it be a bios problem telling me the wrong temp

    is it telling you in F or in C? mine never budges over 50ish really
    but i think a P4 is rated to like almost 100

    its celsius it is reading
    i have heard that some bios give wrong temp readings,do you think this is a possibillity.other than that the system runs fine(no lockups or crashes)

    cpu cool reads minus 16
    cant work this out
