    As CompTIA (and most vendors) continue their move to create more security certifications CompTIA has launched PenTest+ they are offering Beta exams for a limited amount of people which costs around £30 so I thought it would be worth a go.

    I took the exam and have to say it was harder than I thought and had some tough simulation questions do not get the results until the summer I think. They are still offering the exam for £30 so if anyone fancy it get in there quick!

    Great spot Rob, thanks for sharing. I'd like to do this just for kicks as I love that sort of thing. Theres no getting away from how important it is to secure your environment so I'd imagine there will be more and more like this. Security+ is still very well thought of I think, and back in the day was recognised by Microsoft to help me get my MCSE: Security 2003, so I'm a fan of CompTIAs security offerings to be honest

    Nice one mate – I have the Security+ as well as part of my MCSA:security and I do like CompTIA certs even though sometimes they get dismissed by some people.
