Congrats on the pass. I tend to get nervous before a test as well. Not as much for the last couple tests I took but a bit of nerves is good coming up to the test! Don't want to be overconfident and not study like you should!

i got 775 on both. I spent 2 solid months on it spending 6 hours a day. I was able to get hold of some cheap PC that i could take everything apart and put it back together. I looked at website like overclockers, scans, hardforum to learn about the tech and mock buying components and reading things like multipliers (which never came up) and overclocking...over the scope but it was facinating. I end up toasting a cpu

would it get me a job? not a chance...so on to either network+ but im thinking of doing XP/windows 7 or server2003/2008 not too sure yet.

    Congrats!

Do you have server admin experience? If not, the MCSA/MCSE/MCITP:SA isn't going to help you.

Congrats on the Pass Dave. Sounds like your hard work really paid off :)

Personally I would recommend the Network+. I think its a great way of helping understand the basics of networking and I found the material quite interesting (most of the time!).

Good luck in whatever you decide

Unfortunatly no, but during my time studying a+ i got hold of some hardware so im gonna setup a LAN with server2003/2008 plus i have been playing around with virtualisaton so hopefully i can get it all up and running and play around with server admin. so while im doing that i more likely study network+

Well done on the pass & good luck with the N+

Having experience on virtual servers & networks isn't the same as real life experience. Getting MCSE,MCSE etc without that real world experience will make your job hunt harder.

A+,N+ and MCDST but start applying for jobs now.

Congratulations on the exam pass, the first of many I hope. :)

I second what the other guys say. If you apply for an MCSE related role, then the experience on your CV wont back it up, and you wont be selected for interview. And on the other side, if you apply for an entry level position and you have an MCSE, then at a glance you will appear overly qualified and once again not get selected for interview.

Stick the the A+, N+ and MCDST.

    Dan.

MCDST after network +. Server 2003 is the MCSE track and not for people with no experience.

The Mike Meyers book will do you fine for the Network + and when you do the MCDST the MS press books are good.

    Congrats on the pass!

I'd suggest taking on a client exam. Be it XP, Vista or 7. Preferably OS you use daily.

    edit: ... after Network+

    Congrats on the pass. :thumbleft

Network+ after this is a very good choice.

I wanted to say that I don't understand why people get nervous before exams but then I remembered that I was also like that too until I changed my point of view about exams. Generally everybody views an exam as something to be scared of for various reasons, mostly because of "the unknown" factor and also because of how much they don't know.

My viewpoint now, is that I use the exams as a way and opportunity to show how much I do know and I really enjoy every chance to do so. :biggrin (try it, it really helps)
