Hi all, I have finally completed my Cisco CCNA certification by passing my ICND exam today.

I started the Cisco academy at a college in October 2004. Passed the INTRO exam Apr 2005 and it has taken me this long to finally pass my ICND exam (on the second attempt ) and not a day too soon.

I have been using Cisco Press self-study CCNA ICND Exam certification guide since leaving college. Plus I have been lucky enough to be able to use the college's equipment for practice.

I think I failed the first time because I was a little too blasé with what to expect, and as a result totally fudged a major part of the exam namely "Implementation and Operation".

I am going to try my hand at completing my MCSA, which means doing 70-290 and 70-291. That said, I am going to take a break and am not going to even attempt to do either one for at least 4 months.

Completing the CCNA really took a lot out of me, but it was a real buzz (and still is) to have finally finished.

 

I still have the mental scars from trying to do the CCNA years before I'm ready. Going to revisit CCNA at some point in the distant future.

 

Wizard, why not try the Network+ first? As you always advise!
