Hi Folks,
Just passed my 70-290 today and thought I'd pass on some info for anyone about to take this exam.

Q's - 44 (inculding sim's)
Sim's - 4 (I personally think the sims rock )
Drag/drops & mini sim's - roughly 10

First off, get as much hands on as possible, I'm currently doing an Instructor led course, the labs are done using virtual pc running the required DC's etc. Practicing what you are reading really help reinforce your knowledge.

Keep cool in the exam, dont get a rush of blood to the head if you see a question that requires you to drag and drop lines of a VB script into a logon script, that probably you havent covered, just read it, read it once more, and again if you have to and IT WILL make sense, just don't panic.

Know about setting up and Administering SUS and IIS. Using Performace & Alerts(Especially creating alerts), Administering Disks.

Access to resources (ie, when to use Domain Local, Global and Universal Groups(Native, Mixed)) Security and Distribution, alot on this topic.

Also Account admin, got 2 sims on this. And another 2 regarding administering shares for groups....

Anyway good luck to anyone taking it soon. Message me if you want to know anything else...........

Also just got my cert through for my 70-270 and Its a bit disappointingly plain compared to my mates one from a few years ago ............................

I think I should, heard its the law these days and don't want to get into any trouble.......

As for my score Omni, I got 930 - 290 & 938 for my 270. Its really paying to muck around with OS on VM or V/PC.........

I wrote wednesday 7th and failed (64. Also got 4 sims and 44 questions, sounds like what u got. Plan to re-write 27th Dec, any idea if the sims and questions might be the same again?
