    Hi Folks,
I havent been around for a bit, new job, new house, what can I say.

Anyway I just sat the 70-270 exam and thought I'd pass on a few pointers for anyone else sitting it.

Know your file permissions, for NTFS and Share.
Accessing over network = most restrictive permission
    Local then add permission together.

Know when ICF is blocking ports
    Remote desktop (3389)
80, when some dude is running a website and no-one can connect

    VPN security
especially when using smart cards (ie EAP)
the difference with pptp and l2tp, especially when NT is involved

Installations (Quite a bit on this for my exam)
RIS, Needs DNS, DHCP and AD, RIPrep for image, RBFG.exe for non PXE PC's
winnt.sif answer file with a CD install, place on floppy disk
SCSI, remember F6 then drivers for SCSI on the floppy disk

Thats about what I can remember, try for as much hands on as possible and I thought some of the questions in the MS book were very good indeed :D . If I recall anymore I'll post it here....

anyway now onto the 70-290 :ohmy

Just to gatecrash this thread, passed mine on 8th December, moving onto Server 2003 next.
Lots of studying needed, the books are good but I also used exam crams and hammered the internet for stuff covered in the crams and study guides. Hard work and worth it. New job in the new year and a pay rise :D
