Well the time has finnaly come after 3 months of training, the weekend of the Great North Run is here. I'm all packed and ready and waiting for my lift. Im really excited now and cant wait to get it finished and sink a cold pint. I've not touched a drop in over two months.

If anyone up north would like to meet up for a pint (water for me) then I'll be down the quayside tonight with a couple of friends.

Good luck mate, its years since i done the GNR. Wait till you hit the slow climb at approx 9 mile mark, you will love it . . . .NOT!

So Si, how did you get on?

 

I managed it in a time of 2 hours 13 mintues. That uphill from mile 9 to 12 was tough but I got through it. I celebrated with 3 pints of lager and a double cheese burger with chips.

 

So is that good? Did you win then?
