Although I am still on Outlook 2000, it seems it may be looking for a config file or perhaps a .pst file (outlook's folders) on this E drive - what is E drive? Is that a mapped floppy drive or the CD drive perhaps?

The E drive is the CDROM, and it was itially installed from the proper disk. However whilst I am typing this I seem to remember that the pst file was originally on the E drive which was then the 2nd HDD.

I shall have a look in the configs and see where I my have gone wrong. 8)

Nope the pst file if deffinatly on the 2nd HDD and Outlook is pointing towards it. I had to reload my works machine the other day and saved my pst file onto the second HDD. When I reloaded Office I thought I would leave it there and pointed Outlook towards it. Ignore my drivel in the previous post. Outlook will run after I click Cancel about 6/7 times

search the outlook keys in the registry for anything that might be pointing to E that shouldnt be

if you see something compare it with he same key on another machine to see if it actually should be pointing to a CDRom or if it points to a pst file

    Sorted

Did what Phoenix suggested :D and found a key looking for a .zip file on the E:\. Changed it and after a restart, Outlook starts up like it should do.

    Cheers Phoenix and everyone else
