I have run into a slight problem that is actually doing my head in, so I would appreciate if you could help.

all I am trying to do here is to get my outlook express to automatically connect to the net when I want to check my mail.

Please help because it is driving me doulali.

I assume this is an initial configuration of OE. Usually, an email client will automatically check for new emails when it is launched. I haven't used OE in awhile but I have found a couple of links that might help:

Tools>Options>General. Select "Send/Receive messages at startup"

Then choose Connection tab>Change>Always dial my default connection.

At that stage, make sure your internet connection is set NOT to prompt for username, password, etc, and OE will connect'n'check as soon as you open it.
