It’s what it does for you - does it get you into your dream job?
What’s the return on your investment?

My peronal belief is that you can do so much to prepare yourself for the job market, but a huge amount still comes down to who you know and luck.

Well, unfortunately cheating certifications is still rife.
Don’t reallly want to open that kettle of fish again so soon after getting back...
As an employer, we still look for graduates. It’s harder to cheat, you gain some other life skills, and potentially a reference from your tutor if you deserve it.

I see it as the difference in paying at the self service checkout in the supermarket and going through a manned till.
Yes, you pay the same amount and maybe walk out with the same stuff, but can I ask the self service checkout if it thinks I should employ you?

Well I think the person inteviewing should be able to sniff out someone who has listed having a CCNA on their CV who obtained it through cheating, simply by asking relevant questions. At my interview my current boss pretty much tested me on the exam objectives from a cert I listed.
