They'll show up when we least expect them...right after we've said something completely stupid that they can take advantage of and make us look like total doofs (can you tell I'm married?).

OK another installment of the upgrade.

I got another board (Asus), dropped it in and started up. I went into BIOS and checked that it found everything. HDD's, cd rom and 1.5 GB RAM all found with no problems:D. Go to boot up, start installing Win2K Pro and all goes well for a while.....until......bang, error code 4. Hmmm, where have I seen this before.:hhhmmm

I whipped out all the RAM, put one stick in slot A1, rebooted and installed no problems:D. Put in another one and still no problems. Put the third in and it didn't want to play nice:x. Seems to me now that this one is faulty. I haven't run memtest on it yet as I thought my copy was at work and it was 1.30 in the morning when I finished, so I will do it tonight.

As for the rest I think it's finally up and running as it should.

Okay it looks like I've got it sorted now. I finished running memtest after 5.5 hours (no errors) rebooted and it all started without problems.

Looks like I'll be ready in time after all Phoenix.:D

Thanks to all for the advice and help.:D

Funny thing was it was always asking for a cd and I couldn't find anywhere to put it in until I removed my beer from the beer holder. I had a sweet little number going for the beer tabs. I'd poke them through the slot in the front and be rewarded with a little 'chink', like with the old arcade games.[IMG]
