Please tell me that the educational facilities in the UK make more sense than over here.

its not just the educational facilities mate, its the world that we
live in today i think, it won't be long before you sneeze near
some one, then get sued cos you've given them a cold and
have to pay costs for loss of earnings and distress.

mmm, now there's an idea

I remember that someone at my primary worked out how to make a "flick-knife" with just two lolly sticks and an elastic band - man, that thing caused mayhem (esp. when sharpened on the playground) [IMG]

Scary times - and this is the biggest threat in schools nowadays ? :scratch

ah, but we're all forgetting the depleted uranium warhead that was obviosly attached to the piece of chewed up and carefully sculpted paper wad that was loaded on the rubber band, could have hit the teachers brain cell dontchaknow :)

:blink Oh dear - I get elastic bands and the like flirted at me everyday at work (usually by the directors!) so I guess that means my workplace is a highly dangerous place to be! :biggrin

This is a joke, right? I quote:

"They said if he would have aimed it a little more and he would have gotten it closer to her face he would have hit her in the eye," mother Jenette Rojas said.

There was this guy on the street that walked past me with a lit cigarette, and if he stabbed me in the face with it he could have taken an eye out. Maybe I should sue him? Or the next door neighbour who could have broken my legs if she'd swerved to hit me? Or the postman who might injure my hand if he replaced one of my letters with a bomb?

Of course, my postman isn't a mad bomber, my neighbour isn't trying to run me over, and the guy on the street just walked past instead of stubbing out his cigarette on my eyeball. But then, the kid didn't aim it any more than he did either. Once you start getting into the scary world of "if", things get ridiculous pretty fast.

On the other hand, some guy tried to mug me with a rubber band last week....
