New person saying hi!

    Hello everyone.

    I've decided to get the IT qualifications I gave up on when I quit college to move from Worcester to Cornwall. Thanks to lurking and looking on these forums I have started self-studying for my CompTIA A+ exams.

    I know IT is a damn hard industry to get in, but at 27 (will be 28 by the time I really start looking to get in.) I'm hoping life and other work experience where I have held positions of responsibility will give me a small edge against at least the drop-outs advised a career in IT is easy and earns loadsa money.

    A little about me, always had a love of computers and was studying them at college aswell as doing the entry level Cisco qualifications before I moved to Cornwall where I have had a multi-tude of jobs in Stock Control of all things!

    Now decided I should try to get back to doing IT since it's what I always enjoy doing as a hobby and for friends and family. I have also done some small charity work for churches and such doing some IT maintenance so I hope that helps when I come to try to get a job.

    Other than that I love football, support West Brom for my sins and also play guitar.

    Hi Birdman! From Kiddy myself so hi to what was a fellow local-ish person!

    EVERY industry is hard to get into...but if you really want it thou shall get it! And as with every industry there is high pay and low pay...just depends on what you want really! However, you're at the right place!
