Yeah, hands on AD is definitely something that I'm missing currently!
Just hope that my current boss is cool with it.

Could be another UK/US difference but at least my understanding (or at least the one we use within the company!) is time taken out form doing my normal job to go and work with another team for a period of time - maybe weeks or months. Best example I can think of is an Emergency Medicine doctor working on the children ward for a few weeks.
