Well that's day one done and dusted! Today was the day that they all moved into a new office...well the move was done over the bank holiday weekend but there was still lots to get done! The IT guys from the north office where there to sort things so I wasn't just dropped in it! There were the usual issues i.e. printers not printing and network printers that needed setup etc.

But the interesting thing is that I'm incharge of everything in my area (midlands) i.e. Exchange Servers, File and Print servers, , Domain Controllers, network, mobile phones, IP Phones, backups etc etc...loads of stuff! After working for a huge PLC company where you couldn't even re image a laptop without having to consult a manager of a manager and then to this i.e. the buck now stops with me! It's going to be quite a learning curve to say the least! I've wanted this for years, just getting a job with no Infrastructure dept, no 'Service Management' and not having to chase people - apart from BT - but now it's happened it all seems so surreal! I'll get used to it...but I'm still bricking it! LOL!
