The good thing about this is that the Ethical Hacking course is free on NetAcad and the CTF event is only $100 (so less than £100 and far less than a lot of entry level Ethical Hacking courses out there).

Wow OK this is the best one ive seen for awhile while. The sort of course any of us might benefit from.

This has me thinking about when I retire. I think even if I retire, I’d do things like this to keep the old brain cells going. It doesn’t always have to be for me to make more money in work

 

Yeah, added to that it doesn't cost the earth like either the PenTest+ for the CEH - however maybe it's not as high level as them, but for someone who doesn't have any or alot of pentest knowledge, it may be the best option.

Plus like you said, those learning paths don't always have to be for money

 

Know what you mean, there's a new training provider springing up every five minutes - and the quality varies alot. The good thing is that, at least, Cisco has already made a name for themselves in the Cyber Security field, so it's already a trusted and known name

 

Kinda reminds me of good will hunting where he is a genius without going to college
