I don't think there is much advantage in one way over the other to be honest. 210 and 215 are fairly simular (I think, I have done 270 not 210). There is little in the Network + that would really help with 210/215. But it is an easier exam. I would say it is harder than A+ but easier than any MCP. If you are studying for 210 already you may as well do that, then 215 and keep Network+ for when you are ready to start the network exams 216 etc.

That's the way I'm on , Nelix - did A+, 210, 215 and now on N+ (as it would appear to say below  ) I just think its a better option for me, as I have NO IT network experience

I hope it is better late than never. Congratulations to you both.

Nelix. I took the Network+ before the 70-210 but I don't think it matters too much either way. As you have started on the 210 then I'd also say go for that first.
Some of what you learn will overlap with the Network+ and make that a bit easier when you get to it.

Nelix, I took the A+ and Network+ because I failed the 70-215. Let me explain. I was ending my first semester in my IT program. We'd just finished studying Windows 2000 Server and I was the high scorer on the final. I'd taken the mock tests that came with the Sybex book and was scoring well. My classmates said I should just "go for it" and take the cert exam.

Full of confidence, arrogance, and something else I won't mention, I scheduled and took the exam. Boy, what an eyeopener! I was lucky to have answered any of the questions right at all. Lots of stuff about networking and interoperability. I was way out of my depth. I blew $100.00 usd (right before they raised the prices) but learned a valuable lesson. I "went back to basics" and took the more foundational courses first.

This doesn't mean that it's wrong in any sense to start on the 70-210 before the Net+...that's just the way it worked out for me. Hope I didn't dampen your spirits, but I thought this needed to be said.
