Net words added to dictionary

    I heard on the news yesterday that 'words' such as "wtf" "omg" "woot" "noob" have been added to Collins.

    I just had a look on the web for the same news and found this page.

    I checked Collins but it didn't return any results :(

    Either way, this is quite bizzare. I can see it now..

    User1: woot you sux noob
    User2: Beg pardon?
    User1: Haha you suck new skiller
    User2: Why not speak English?
    User1: Haha you newb *link*
    User2 *facepalms*

    wtf and omg are accronyms not words

    in fact, so are lots of web terminology from the days of old

    noob is also an incorrect spelling, the correct form is n00b in true l33tsp34k
    they always manage to dumb it down i guess!

    I know them all and I'm aware that they are not words - just going by the news.

    w00t is also not spelled with oo but two zero's.

    The whole thing is just stupid :D
