 No, it's not what you perverts are thinking. I've spent most of the day doing research on my new writing assignment and most of the evening writing. I find it comfortable to have my laptop on my...lap. After all, that's what it's called. I've heard the usual urban stories of people burning their "delicate bits" in a similar manner, but I always work dressed.

The computer room is a mess with all my books and papers scattered. My daughter was in doing some recreational surfing of the web. She's pretty much recovered from the flu, but a trail of slime filled tissues follows her where ever she goes ("I'll clean them up in a nano, Daddy"). She snuck off to a shower and bed while I was otherwise occupied and now either I clean it or it won't get done until her mother tortures her tomorrow afternoon.

As always, I didn't get as far on the project as I hoped. Part of it was that I didn't anticipate the initial research taking as long and part of it was in inevitible "honey do" list. It wasn't huge but it did consume time. I'd better get cracking if I expect to get the thing done in less than eight weeks. Getting late (here, that is). Off to bed. G'night folks.

    Trip

I think we may have an American English / English English problem here :!:

In the UK pants are normally called trousers! Strangely we wear underpants but not under pants if you see what I mean

Ok, ok. What am I missing? :confused3 What do "chaps around your legs" mean where you are (a bunch of guys.."chaps"..trying to tackle you)?

And my "trousers" have had a chance to cool off. In the US, we have the word "trousers", too. But it's considered archaic. Sorry about that.

If I understand you right, if that hand doesn't belong to my wife, it's owner will get it back in somewhat damaged condition. :x

Oh, I sense a whole new Forum idea coming on. SimonV ????????

I consider myself rather adept in the art of the innuendo, so I'm up for any challenges 8)
