MS SQL question?

At work our SQL DBA is on leave, and a couple of issues have been put in my direction to try and resolve - not being a DBA, and having very minimal SQL experience, I wondered if you guys could help me out.

Its a basic question I think - but...

Does anyone know if dbcc is ran as part of the Auto Update Statistics when they are active?
