So my Creative Zen Touch finally packed in. I'm now looking for a new unit. I've been looking at a couple of models, notably the Ipod, the Creature Vision.

I also saw This one. It looks nice. Downside is that its only 4GB.

Does anyone have any good recommendations?

IPOD all the way for me mate, I used to buy cheaper MP3 players and break them in a week going down the gym, IPOD is the only one that's lasted for me.

    Creative Vision:M

Mines the 30 Gb model and it's great. Also got the add on pack so that I can charge it from the mains and also the wires to plug it into the TV.

I used to be a creative guy

Had one of the first Nomad Zen (portable hard drive based MP3 player) imported from the states back in like 99/00, before that I had the old school Nomads

It lasted me for YONKS actually, and finally succumbed to rain damage in 04!
I replaced it with a Zen Sleek
which was a POS, poor interface, crappy controls (un responsive a lot of the time) and a battery life that wouldnt get me across the atlantic, what a pile of crap

So gave in and finally bought a 60GB Video iPod 5G
what an impressive piece of kit, sleep, stable, pretty, brill screen
    shame itunes is crap! :)

I actually use a phone now, the W880i, for MP3 listening... but I recommend avoiding MP3 players with colour/large screen as they can consume the battery.

    Creative Kid here.

Zen Xtra for me. I've had my 60Gb model for about three years now - bought it when it first came out. In that time I have dropped it on numerous occasions and it still works, though i fear it is not that far from giving up the ghosts as it needs a format about once every two months now. It also regularly gets into a startup loop which can only be resolved by removing the battery, so its probably on its last legs.

Got the wife a SanDisk for her birthday and she loves it - most improtantly it is LOUD. As she says, no point listening to Obituary if it sounds like it's being played on tinny laptop speakers...
