Hi, all

Just wondered if anyone knew anywhere that explained kernel modules in a bit of detail.

My book shows you how to insert a module into the kernel, which is fine, but does not show other bits like how to get the kernel in the system everytime it boots and other annoyances!!

I can't help personally, but a google search for kernel modules produced loads of results.

Perhaps you could start there?

 

You mean autoloading the new modules on start-up? What distro are you using?
