    Hi Guys.

I was wondering if any one on the forums had any advice regarding a :

    Mobile device for recording data.

I need a hardware device where I can go along freely recording data into a excel spreadsheet on the move. I work in a school and the device will be used to record incidents during school hours by a person on patrol so to speak. It has to be user friendly with a keyboard / keypad.

I was thinking somethin like a blackberry or PDA. any suggestions out there?

A budget of around 300 pounds.

    Cheers.

    FatP. :)

I would suggest the HTC Universal.

HTC's haven't ever let me down(although I broke my HTC Diamond on saturday :()

It's a few years old now but considering you're only using spreadsheets, it should be perfect. The screen is big and the keys are big. It folds to be quite compact, has touchscreen and has a camera with a LED white light.

I can't imagine it being more than £100?

    Hope this helps!
