Actually passed this last Wednesday but I've been locked out of my account for a little while. Shout out to the main man (JK2447) for working tirelessly to sort it out for me. I owe you a beer.

Started a couple of months ago. Probably did 5-7 hours a day for about 10 weeks. Never touched azure before. Used the Press book + technet/few other websites.

Exam wasn't enjoyable.. Hit a load of objectives I wasn't expecting on a far deeper level than I expected. Came out feeling a bit lucky, but a pass is a pass.

Advice to anyone planning on taking it... The UI seems to be undergoing a revamp, so if you want to use the press book, keep in mind it's probably going to look quite different when you start on it. I was lucky that I did the exam only a few months after the book was published and it was all pretty consistent with I was running through on Azure. The book itself is pretty good. Condenses the information well and helps you understand how important various methods of configuration are. (For instance, you need to have a far better understanding of powershell than any other MS exam I've done.)

    Linux+ up next.

Congratulations mate and sorry it took me a while to fix. Was a random issue for sure. Thanks for the review of the exam and best of luck for Linux+. I always fancied looking into that one

Absolutely you’re right Sparky. It’s great to see people getting MCSEs still. I think Microsoft still do some great work in IT certification and the industry of course. I’m looking forward to VMware continuing to work with Azure

Thanks everyone. Was a rough but worthwhile ride. Linux+ going well, really interesting how intuitive the CLI is in comparison to using Windows.

Nyx, you'll have to now seeing as they've announced they're retiring it at the end of the year! haha.
