Can anyone shed any light on how I go about finding out my MCP candidate number?

I currently have my score sheet print out for 70-270 and it says I need to register as an MCP. In order to register online I need to use my MCP number which I do not know?

I am probably being dumb but to me it's clear as mud!

Have you received your cert and wallet card? it should be on the card.

 

clear as mud, lol!
your MCP number will arrive in an email. if you've just taken the test, be patient.
also you will need another code which will come in a later email.

 

Do you actually have to register as an MCP these days?

 

I passed the exam months ago, have recieved nothing from Microsoft other than the score sheet straight after exam, guess I will have to call them.

Oh. I take it isn't like the Comptia where you receive e-mail notification and then your cert via the post man....

I waited nearly 2 months myself for the welcome pack, you need to phone the UK MCP support line and have your score sheet handy, they will then email your candidate number and password for access to the site.
You will need a .net passport for login, (hotmail account etc).
It should then arrive within a couple of weeks.
