MCDST or MCSE

    what is the better to have

    COMPTIA A+ OR MCDST,

    i understand MCSE is more advanced!

    While they both sit at the same level, those two certs do not compete with each other. They compliment each other. The A+ cover things that the MCDST doesn't and vice versa.

    This. Plus, the A+ is vendor-neutral; the MCDST is Microsoft-centric.

    I agree with both Ken and Michael, their both good and are different certifications. When I started, I went for both A+ and MCDST.

    Both are good ones to get a head start in IT.
