Booking an exam any more than a couple of weeks ahead doesn't work for me. I know I can reschedule and I'm good at procrastinating if the deadline is still a fair bit off.
I normally get to the point where I think I can pass an exam, then book it and use the intervening time to dot the i's and cross the t's.

One thing i did when i lost interest in studying was first take a break for a little while, obviously you have had this break by the sounds of it. then i changed my study material before i used the microsoft books which were good but then got really bored of reading millions of pages where everything is repeated.... so i turned to videos, technet and some books that are geared more towards the actual hands on approach so you actually build the infrastructure in front of you. (if you have access to that kit of course) that way got me gunning for it again and at the end of the day these exams and certs are only going to help you acheive the overall incentive of "money" thats why we all do it. they may benefit your company also but overall they are for you because they stick to you wherever you choose to go.

Agreed... I don't do it for the money, I find a perverse pleasure in taking exams :) My company doesn't pay me more based on the number of exams I've completed either (which is a shame!). Honestly though, I do the exams for the products I've worked with mainly to make sure that I'm up to a certain level of knowledge and learn a bit on the way.

Anyway, to the OP, get back on it! Book it and start studying... yes, you can always reschedule it, I do it at least a couple of times for each exam, but once it's booked they'll be more incentive to get down to the studying!
