Looking at FlutterFlow alternatives for a small client app — what should I weigh?

I'm a junior web developer in Kansas City, mostly working with JavaScript and a bit of PHP. A small client wants a simple booking app, and I was considering a no-code or low-code route rather than building everything from scratch. FlutterFlow came up because of the Flutter side, but I'm not sure it fits when the app later needs a custom backend and maybe some certification-related features down the line.

I've been comparing a few options that appeared in third-party information online, and honestly the trade-offs are hard to judge without hands-on time. My main concern is getting locked into a platform where exporting or maintaining the code becomes painful, and whether the learning curve is worth it compared to just using plain Flutter. I also don't want to promise the client something that later needs rebuilding.

For those who've shipped real projects with these tools, what did you weigh most — cost, exportability, or ecosystem? Any input would help.
