My parents bought mine at the Air Force exchange. That used to be one of the only places that actually stayed current on computers, probably cause the military guys really got into computing back then.
Yeah, I remember Windows 3.1 came out around that time. People would brag about windows and I would tell them that the Amiga would run circles around windows..and actually multitask. Not to mention that it had a much better GUI than windows (or the MAC) at the time and a unixlike cli. If Commodore knew how to market what they had, they might be in the position apple is now!

The game I used to like was Nuke Wars, it was hilarious.
