Hey guys,

i'm planning to take the test on 31st of Dec at around 8pm and if i past does that mean i don't have to re-take the exam every 3 years?

"The test"? Which test? CompTIA has several.

If you mean Network+ or Security+ (as you already have the A+), then yes, if you don't pass, you will have to recertify every 3 years.

 

Yes, but depending on which exam you're taking...

A+, Network+ and Security+ are currently life-time certs, but as of 01/01/11 you will need to re-take or take some from of bridge exam every 3 years.

I'm taking Security+ on the 31st, so best of luck to the both of us!

As far as I'm aware all other CompTIA certs are life-time and currently have no plans to change.
