One cannot compare the two. Watching B&B might make you laugh, but it doesn't make you a moron. Watching kiddie pr0n makes you a pedophile perv whether or not you touch a kid.

Watching B&B no more makes you a moron than watching Julia Child makes you a chef.

Would you prefer I stated it exactly as "It's just humor"? You might not find it funny; other people do.

Dude... they're cartoon characters. Do you *really* know anyone who patterned themselves after Beavis and Butthead? If anything, it showed people that watching TV all day long would truly make you a loser.

I guess it all comes down to taste. I'm sure I find some things entertaining that you might find questionable. I *love* the original Warner Bros. cartoon characters (Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, etc...) and to me, that's entertainment and that's what makes me laugh.

 

I'm with you Trip. I guess us more mature guys that grew up with Buggs and Daffy and not B&B and South Park, tend to see things differently. To me these smutty shows are potentially degrading and desensitising to a childs sense of morals and ethics. Not all kids, granted, some will have a balance in thier home lives to keep them on track.

I grew up with Bugs and Daffy as well... one of the last generations to have done so to any great degree. B&B didn't come along till I was in my 20s, so I can't really say that I "grew up" with it.

 

I grew up with Bugs and Daffy too, personally preffered Tom & Jerry and road runner though, Beavis & Butthead didn't show up till I was about 15.

 

thats a funny one, my fave is the one where B&B steal Mr Andersons Golf Balls whilst he is on the course then sell them back to him and other members of the course

 

Sadly, yes - my two American cousins, 12 and 15 at the time (1994). Specifically, in a very small hire car travelling around Scotland and Ireland for three weeks. It was painful. Never really warmed to B&B since then
