I passed both my A+ Exams today and would like to know what sort of jobs i would be best searching for and wheres the best places to look. I am currently working in the construction trade and work is so **** at the moment its gettin me down and i need out! i am gonna go on to get more qualifications but it would help me so much more workin in IT day in day out to aid my learning, plus someone else might fund it! :p Im Currently on around £23000 a year but im willin to take a cut, the hours i do also are ridiculous and if i worked out my hourly rate it would prob make me very upset! im during more hours then a 9-5 and i am only meant to work 8 hours a day! I have been applying for a lot of jobs from totaljobs.com in the run up to getting qualfied but have not even had so much as a sorry your not for us!

    Well done on your A+

If you have no experience other than A+ you're looking at the Helpdesk and/or IT Support Technician. To be honest I haven't found many jobs looking for A+, but if you have no industry experience it definitely will help show you are interested into learning and breaking into the industry.

Not sure how far you are willing to travel, but there have been a lot of Helpdesk/Techie jobs going in outskirts of Essex and East London, some of them have been asking for experience (especially law firms/brokers) but some have just been looking for fresh meat.

Some websites I've used over the last week, applied for 30 jobs and have got 3 interviews coming up (as an Helpdesk/Technician but with a couple years experience).

    http://www.cwjobs.co.uk/
    http://www.theitjobboard.co.uk/
    http://www.jobsearch.co.uk/
    http://www.reed.co.uk

Then you also have local council, schools (especially private ones) and local paper.

Good luck with the search. For a beginner techie, I've noticed that you're looking anywhere between £13-18k in Essex, closer to £19-20k if you're going outskirts of London.
