Found out yesterday that I have passed my ITIL Service Management exam.

it was much harder than I thought it would be and, to be honest, I'm surprised that I passed.

Ah well, another four letters after me name...

    :p

LOL - the lowest one (foundation in Service Management)

I'll be honest - I didn't like the course at all. It was deadly, deadly boring, and seemed to me to be a thing invented bny middle IT managers who know sod-all about technology as a way of justifying their salaries...

(but maybe I'm just an old cynic :p )

I guess it all depends on what level of service management your own organisation is at. A lot of ITIL is common sense but there are very large business's out there that to be frank don't know their arse from their elbow and need to be taken back to the basics.

Congrats on the course pass, thats the worst one to do the others have a lot more practical work involved.

    Who was the course through?
(I'm interested in how our competitors get on 8) )

    Interquad.

The instructor was OK - a really nice chap. Unfortunately, as the old saying goes, you can't polich a turd, so he was unable to make it even slightly interesting (no matter how many amusing anecdotes he had about managing a helpdesk in the past!)
