it cant be that easy to break into a mac surely..

    I'm learning mac OS and is it true you can reset the main password for the OS simply by entering the recovery partition opening terminal typing in the reset command and you're in? surely not? not tested it myself yet but intend to.

    if your not using file vault (which anyone with a mac should enable by default) then yes its that easy but thats no different to windows. you can do the same in windows or just hook up the drive to another pc and your in.
