Interesting topic of conversation, although personally I feel the internet will remain limitless for as long as it of use. storage is added quicker than it runs out, link capacity increases quicker than it runs out
people fear for the future of the internet with the growth of high speed home links, they talk of sites like youtube and HD equivalents 'sinking' the internet but at the end node the internet is a tool that users pay for, and if service levels drop and excuses are made users will go to the competition, as such the links will always be upgraded, the storage will always be upgraded, the internet will always 'grow' as long as it is commercially viable

you think the time and effort it took to develop and implement ipv6 would happen just for fun? no, its a natural evolution, and while there is money to be made or a strong enough purpose to serve, it will remain, and it will continue to evolve

hard stats are all well and good but the internet is not hard stats, its a dynamic global system that in its very nature changes with more frequency than we would care to imagine

I'm not sure what all the flaming crap was about the exact definition of A vs B, perhaps some people should add a little more substance and be less pedantic, nice topic Manic, plenty of food for thought and opinions to be made. keep up the good work
