I am a 51 year old male and I have just lost my £31000 job due to political moves by a director in the company. I was developing in VB.NET . Now I am seeking MCAD or MCSD qualifications. I have approached both SkillsTrain and Apprenta but they seem to be after money which I do not have.

    Hi Patrick,

Sorry to hear about your job loss.
You say you have contacted some training providers, have you had a look for media that could get you through the certs yourself? I can't recommend any personally but i am sure others will be able to.
    All the best

    Welcome to CF Patrick.

Sorry to hear about your situation, and good luck with your studies. If you are looking into doing the studies yourself then I believe that the official MS Press books may be helpful to you.

welcome to the forums, sorry to hear about the job situation. I'd always be inclined to go down the self study route if possible but if not book courses with reputable training providers such as QA http://www.qa.com/ or Spring IT, I have been on courses with both of these providers and both are very good.

    Hi Patrick.
Sorry to hear about your problems.

Interesting username. Did you just have a bad scrabble hand or did you sneeze on the keyboard?
