I think that's the problem. The technology associated with the Information Age sacrifices accuracy for speed. I suppose I'm more sensitive than most because I create text content for a living and spelling and grammar do count...especially to whoever's editing my work.

 

Lets just not shout at trip when he spells "neighbour" and "colour" incorrectly!!!!!

I have to say there's no way Juice was having a go by saying it's annoying weather someone's grammar is pristine, or under the whether. Either way, I agree it was a positively-intended post.

In the interests of fairness Fergal, maybe CF does raise issues about how posts and threads read, and maybe day to day educational standards in general, perhaps more often than one might think, but let's face it - this forum (at time of writing) has 6,735 members and 165,273 posts. Many are going to be grammatically inaccurate - it's no great surprise the issue gets raised (btw, I have a terrible habit of typing "get's" !!)

Don't agree with your ginger hair analogy, by the way, but that's personal opinion
