It's not an "email address" in that message that I'm supposed to contact, it's an "email". Period. I also haven't quite figured out what my "email id" is either, but for that kind of money I'm sure I can figure something out.

I am even more lucky than you.I received an email a few day ago. Apparently i won 1000000$ for a Russian
Lottery. All i have to do is send them 1000euro, and wait for the price.

As I expected - 50ppm cost on that number. Which means I suspect that few people outside of the UK will get through as most international telcos avoid connecting to non mobile/geographic numbers.

This is clearly intended to try and reap some money from the calls.

Is it just me or has there been a mass increase in spam e-mails including the telephone number being "based" in the UK??? Probably the majority of the spam is no longer nigeria oil workers trying to get me to raid their national bank, but are people giving UK "based" numbers like the +447045736856 included here??

Harry's right - it's going to cost you to phone them, but why choose this country? Is it because they are based here?

 

I think more and more people are getting on the 'lets rip someone of' game, so instead of spam coming from Nigeria or Russia its more local than we all think.

 

Crap... I never win this sorta stuff. Hmph!
