Passed 70-291 with a score of.. 700/1000

In by the skin of my teeth, but a pass is a pass I guess

I had 53 questions, 6-7 simulations and a whole heap of IIS and WSUS questions?!

I had this in my previous attempt at 70-291 with a score of something like 682 (cant remember).

Just to make sure I wasnt overlooking anything in the 291 material I have, I went through the MS Press Book and TestOut Labsim. MS Press Book has about 2 - 3 pages on IIS and barely scratches the surface (unlike the exam which was asking for command line stuff!) and the same for WSUS (or SUS).

But hey ho, I passed.

I advise anyone who takes this exam, seriously take a very indepth look at IIS (especially IIS security, IPSec etc) and WSUS!

Yet again thanks to everyone at CF whos helped me through my last 3 MS exams, many more to come

I'll also be on CF alot more due to having my life back! Haha.

Many Congratulations on passing the 70-291, I found that exam extermly tuff and a step up from the 70-290 but very rewarding once you've managed to "tam the beast".
For all those that are due to take it don't be disheartened by everyone saying its a hard exam I failed it on my first attempt which dented my confidence but I think that was down to lack of Prep.......
Go and have a pint of 10 to celebrate!!

i hope i am going to do well at this one i prefer narrow but deep subjects rather than broad.

Need to get the 290 out the way first, which i plan to start after Christmas

 

Congrats on the pass, I know exactly how it feels to tame the beast, got my pass earlier this month. But 53 questions? I only got 48 questions for my 291 exam . Maybe you should try another Prometric testing centre. I got 1 sim in the entire exam.
