There was me commenting to a thread and checking it to see that I hadn't left any howlers when I noticed a little yellow flash on the post! :biggrin

As I said before, I haven't been here long, but this place is a real 'home-from-home' for me. But to discover that I'd topped the voting for the Advisor award was the icing on the cake.

    Thank you all very much!

Perhaps a little celebration later will be in order.... :beers2

I realize that. The same term is used here in the US. However, it's not usually used by a young person toward someone old enough to be their father.... :biggrin

If it is it is used in that manner here it is usually in a gentle mocking. It's just cultural differences because I'm pretty sure Noel had no thought of mocking Harry as he (Noel) was congratulating Harry.

I just pointed it out because it is a cultural difference and over here it would be seen differently and I find such small differences interesting and sometimes amusing. What can I say? I'm easily amused....
