Is it possible to view the HTML source code in Outlook 2003 SP2? A quick Google search returned this:

You can add the view source button into Outlook 2003.

Open a new email. Make sure the curser is in the body of the email.

Right click on the toolbar and select "Customize"

    Click the Commands tab.

Highlight "View" on the left, and look for "HTML source" on the right.

Click and drag HTML Source into you email toolbar.

... but when I look for the HTML source on the right it's not there which leads me to believe that it's not possible with the SP2 version of Outlook 2003.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    - Alex

um, just a suggestion, but have you perhaps tried right clicking on the body of the email, and selecting 'View Source'? works every time in mine.

Of course, thats only going to appear if the email you are trying to view the source on is HTML in the first place.

After an exhaustive search, including here, I have stumbled upon the solution and am delighted to share it:

R click on e-mail title in inbox (do not open email) > options > box at bottom labeled internet headers has the complete source code, including the body text.

This also works from the delete box, but only the navigation info shows (not any of the email body text). I am still trying to figure out if it's possible to find the mailing list if the email had any bcc recipients (in Outlook Express, it was possible to do this from the sent box).

Ditto sent box (as long as the reading pane is turned off).

For Outlook Express, there is (as I recall) a drop down under View.
