I would like to have a general opinion on Paypal. How good is it, how secure etc.

Nugget, I use PayPal quite a bit for both selling stuff on Ebay and buying. All they need is your credit card number and hey presto the funds are taken from your bank account and paid into the persons PayPal account you are sending funds to. I have never had cause to question their security, in fact the whole site is secure with the little padlock on the bottom of the screen.

I have had problems with an item I bought from Ebay that was faulty and was returned and a refund received via PayPal. After a few weeks these funds were taken back by PayPal as those funds were given back to me under fraudulent means, but that's another story.

No, I find PayPal very safe and easy to use.

Ok thanks AJ. I have heard of some problems with PayPal so I was just wondering. I received a payment via PayPal and have opened an account with them but was wary about giving out my creditcard details.

NP's nugget, just remember that when you withdraw funds from yoyur PayPal account they do take off something like 4.5% (I could be wrong with this figure) as their fee.
