I must add that they range from a couple of 486's to the highest spec machine in the house.....a 2.2 Ghz AMD self built unit, not all have monitors and not all are plugged in........but I DO own them.

P.S. The laptop belongs to the daughter really.......but I did buy it for her, so in a way it's mine :D

I put down 4 - thats what I have running on a daily basis.

I could have added my old laptop (fully working just a bit slow and flickery screen) and 2-3 old things including a P90 that I stripped down from a working condition a few weeks ago :)

Still not as high as 9 :P

We (the family) have 4. All networked. We have two broadband connections as I cannot afford not to be connected to the internet,

Hey. I answered "3" because that's how many PCs I have. It would be "4" with the laptop. I use the laptop for writing and contract projects, we have one that's the main family computer/receives e-mails/internet access point. One is my lab computer that I'm coming ever closer to being able to jackup the RAM and actually buy VMWare for (yah!) and one is my wife's computer for her private, non-profit work. When I begged...uh humm...asked that we free up some dough for the extra RAM-age and VMWare, my wife reminded me of how much money we've spent on computer gear this calendar year. Since she wants to spend bo koo bucks on art for the walls, I thought I could leverage the situation in my favor. Besides, the lab computer is more or less useless without the additional Gig of RAM and the VMWare software. Looks like I'll be able to place the order by year's end. Is it too late to join the Lab Partners group???
Can't afford to not have internet access, littlebud? Boy, I'd give my eye teeth even to have one broadband connection, let alone two. Budget won't support it alas.

I technically own 1 full PC and 3 motherboards:

Out of the three motherboards, one still has the memory and graphics card in it.

If my memory serves me correctly:

    486DX motherboard
    AMD K6 Motherboard
Pentium II Motherboard is the one which still has the memory and graphics card with it.

The others are still in full working order as well.

Well, I went with the "10+" choice.

While I have 3 working desktop machines and 1 laptop, I have enough spare parts lying around (including cases) to build another 12 machines.
