Wouldn't be a problem if you only had two jobs during that time

Very true! However, I've had ten jobs from 1989 to 2010.

 

I think I need to stop moving around! I'm on my fifth since 2004!

 

Mine is at 2 pages.

 

It is not uncommon for techs to move around a bit early on their IT careers. I did as well - four jobs in my first eighteen months. I couldn't pass up the opportunities; the employers offered large increases in salary or decreases in travel. Unfortunately, the job hopping almost cost me the chance at a job with Transcender a couple of years later. Had I not been hired then, I'd probably not be here at Boson today.

So... job hop when you have an unbelieveably good offer... but keep in mind that too much hopping can cause problems down the road.

 

Mine’s about 2.5 pages ATM, laid out pretty much like Fergal1982’s

Agree with BM, although I'm only on my first IT position ATM

 

Has been two pages up to my current job, now it will roll on to three for my next one, the space is needed, but it'll be trimmed to stay at three for as long as possible afterwards, ie the next two jobs.

 

I think I would rather have a neat and clear cv across three pages, then it being squashed into two. Its time to let it go onto the 3rd page!
