    Cheers Jim! I have sent him numerous e-mails for proposals and my reasoning behind it. Most wouldn't cost anything, he just doesn't seem interested. I think it is time for a move! I would love the opportunity to work in a company like IBM or ATOS. TBH i'm not sure which type of position to apply for. I'm think along the lines of second line support would be best for me.

    Hmmm, i'd like to say i'm built like one of those guys, but well lets just say, i'm not quite there!!!

    He is in he's 50's i guess he is just waiting to retire! I thought that if i showed the interest to improve our setup, then he would be interested, but he doesn't really care.

    I just hope i will be able to find some positions that are right for me to apply to. Time to really polish up the CV!

    Well he didn't really know too much about it TBH. I think he's words were "is that something to do with updates".

    Its pretty great to be honest. We just had an olympics day where we all competed against each other, it was like something the yanks do, ace :D

    Now that was a long time ago! The official title was “Information Technology and Software Development”

    Basically I specialised in software development for small businesses such as EPOS systems and actually ended up selling the software I wrote for my final dissertation to a record store. After that I rewrote the software and sold it to another company and installed a server to host it. Windows NT power! :biggrin

    Yeah he's got every cert in the book but it doesn't say anything about BSc then MSc. Thats like 4-6 years alone! My MCSE's only gonna take me about a year I reckon, if I pass it all that is! Would you ever consider a PhD?

    Probably not, I get more out of the MS certs as thats what Im installing on a daily basis now. Will probably branch out into Cisco stuff later on this year if I get the time.

    I've got a BSc in Chemistry to go with my 38 certifications. :)

    Still, the certifications aren't what's important... what's important is actually being able to DO the job, not just pass a test. :thumbleft

    I've thought about getting a Masters, but I really don't need one right now. Maybe someday.

    38 certs is an amazing amount! But i guess if BM has worked hard to learn the technologies then he deservesthe credit! I hope that some day i have that kind of competency as an IT professional!
