HMRC IR35 Investigations

    More bad news for contractors.

    HMRC are looking to back tax contractors in the public sector who moved from limited company to umbrella or PAYE because they've always been inside IR35.

    This will most likely happen for the private sector too.

    So if you're currently contracting outside with a limited company, you may want to think twice before accepting new extension if it's going inside IR35. Same rules applies if you go from contractor to permanent (unless it's a different role).
