Like many here, I just stumbled across this forum whilse researching certification courses and a specific training provider.

Have to say after reading several threads I have decided to go down the self study route to save a big bundle of cash and hopefully achieved just as good a result. Afterall I could fail the cert 10 time over and still have saved money (providing I pass finally!).

I've recently been made redundant and want to get back into IT, having spent far, far too long in sales, project management, general management etc.. Being boring though I have decided to start off with something dullllll - I've booked a test for ITIL Foundation V3. Got to be done, as most of the jobs I've seen all seem to require it now.

I'd be interested in finding out what might be useful next - I've got an (old) MSc and am doing a (new) MSc in forensic computing and security. Love to get into that eventually, but need to get some more up to date general experience first I think. I hope to find out what works for people as far as certification go.....
