Hi guys,

Just found these forums and was instantly impressed and decided to join. Very friendly atmosphere here and good advice. Fantastic.

I'm 23 and have been working in the IT field for about 4 years all knowledge gained through experience of helpdesk etc.

I took an A+ course a good 1-2 years ago, and now have forgotten it all! I need to take the exam, but this week Im on a Managing and Maintaining server 2003 course and am probably going to take this exam first actually whilst its fresh in my head. I have also done a course in Supporting users running XP but agan need to read up to take the exam.

IM also due to go on a Network + course in a few months!

IM a bit of a noob thoughwhen it comes to knowing about MCSA and MCSE and what makes them up and how actually to achieve them.

Looks like you got yourself all sorted out with the certs.. just make sure you know your stuff before doing your exams!

hi cr4mm3r, welcome to CF mate. MCSA is 4 exams 3 core and 1 elective. MCSE is 7 exams in total 6 core and 1 elective. You can specialise in either the MCSA and MCSE in messaging and security which you need to take a further exam.
