    Hi everyone newbiew to the forum, I only just got certfied the other day MCSE AND CCNP now time to look for a job:D

    Not at all, I know is going to be hard getting a job without experience however we all have to start from somewhere

    Yeah its hard to find work regardless of certs OR experience I'm afraid. Can be done tho :)

    No I wasn't in IT before I'm currently serving member of Armed forces and termination date is 30 June 2009.
    the course was part of my resettlement. I attended 12 weeks boot camp it was very difficult but I made it

    I have no expereience whatsoever that is the reason why I looking for some job placement or even voluntary jobs

    Hi and welcome ! :biggrin

    Great achievement to have MCSE and CCNP but I'm a little worried if you have no IT experience as those are higher level certs. MS actually say you should have experience before sitting for MCSE as they are there to validate said experience.

    You may want to "dumb down" your CV for job applications as most companies won't take you on at the level you're certified for without some hands-on experience in the real world.

    To be honest with you Im not afraid to start from any level, I know this is going to be a problem but what can I say that is the reason why Im even ready to take up a voluntary job.
    Maybe anyone on this site have a link to a voluntary job site

    Can I do a 12 week bootcamp in tank driving and AK47's ? Would you want me next to you on the front line after that 12 weeks ? :blink

    Its great the army have given you such support. I can imagine how hard a 12 week boot camp must of been.

    As you said, you'll have to start at the bottom regardless of certs and the knowledge you've gained will probably only come into play once you have 18 months experience under your belt.

    Under normal circumstances its not wise to advertise being so highly qualified without experience but I think if you get to the interview stage and explain the army put you through a 12 week intensive boot camp, it won't be a deal breaker.

    The reason people with high level certs and no experience tend to be frowned upon is because there are ways to cheat certain exams which runs the risk of an IT manager employing someone with all the certs under the sun but doesn't have a clue.

    Graduating from those bootcamps means you get awarded a nice orange jumpsuit ! I suppose that is where bootcamp comes from... :D
